How Mercidia reconciles revenue

A source-aware method for understanding why Shopify, Meta, Google Ads, and GA4 numbers do not always agree.

Start with the commerce record

Mercidia treats recognized commerce revenue as an observed record, not as a platform-reported promise. The window, order eligibility, refunds, disputes, currency, and latest successful source sync are shown beside the result.

  • Gross revenue, refunds, disputes, and net recognized revenue remain separate.
  • Orders that cannot be matched to a recorded journey stay visible as unattributed or unreconciled.
  • Partial or stale connector data is labeled as incomplete instead of being converted into confirmed zeroes.

Compare sources without forcing agreement

Shopify, Meta, Google Ads, and GA4 describe different parts of the journey. Mercidia compares their windows and records the variance so a team can investigate why numbers differ before acting on them.

  • The source system and measurement window are part of every reconciliation view.
  • Attribution coverage and known exclusions are shown with the totals.
  • A reconciliation gap is evidence to review, not proof that one provider caused the difference.

Keep the result auditable

Every headline can be traced to source records and a versioned methodology. The result supports a decision, but it does not claim causal lift or pretend that attribution is a single source of truth.

See the evidence loop

Start with the fictional sample workspace, then connect your own sources when you are ready. Mercidia keeps observed values, assumptions, uncertainty, and decisions visible together.
